Clinical Shadowing Opportunities
During this engaging activity, students will have the opportunity to observe healthcare professionals in a real hospital setting. In this interactive session, students will explore the vital role of medical documentation in patient care. Using simulated case scenarios, participants will practice charting vital signs, medical histories, symptoms, and clinical observations to create comprehensive and accurate medical records. This hands-on activity emphasizes the importance of precision, attention to detail, and confidentiality in healthcare documentation.
Students will learn how healthcare professionals use charting to track patient progress, communicate with team members, and ensure quality care. The course will guide students through the scientific processes involved in analyzing food components, identifying active compounds, and understanding how certain foods can contribute to health and healing.
Students will discover how researchers and healthcare professionals collaborate to develop natural remedies and medicinal products derived from everyday foods. This activity emphasizes the vital role of STEM fields—such as biology, chemistry, and biotechnology—in transforming simple ingredients into powerful tools for health. Through hands-on experiments and interactive discussions, participants will see firsthand how science and nutrition work together to promote wellness and prevent disease.
